V.R.Ashwood Training Institute, LLC was founded in January 2008, by Nellie Ashwood-Smith, RN, PhD.
The general purpose of this inception was to prepare entry-level nursing professionals with the knowledge and skills to meet the challenges of the Healthcare industry in the 21st century and beyond. Our Nursing Program Overview
Our nursing curriculum provides the opportunity for students to acquire, and demonstrate the professional nursing knowledge and skills necessary to assist patients, and clients to an optimal level of health. This is accomplished through an integration of theoretical nursing knowledge with essential industry standard clinical skills. The curriculum integrates moral, ethical, and legal principles with critical thinking, decision-making, leadership, and management techniques. Students practice in a changing health care environment in acute and long-term care facilities as well as in community settings. In addition, the aim is to bridge the gap of the critical nurse shortage in our country, and ensure the delivery of quality healthcare professionals to the communities served.

Start dates will be announced accordingly – classes will begin only when there are adequate numbers of enrollees, and upon program approval from Indiana State Board of Nursing.
